"Mong" Performs in Thailand and Vietnam

True! The Net may offer awe inspring friendship and forge relationships. But in it, also sneaks malicious freaks preying on gullible novice... see how this could happen in the witty multi-media production of "Mong." From Saosoong Theatre comes their newest production: "Mong, a contemporary multi-media production depicting the world of cyber sex and information technology, about a man who posts his sexy photos online for a woman he meets on the net to see --- finding himself a victim of a scam when these photos end up in sex websites. Directed by Nut Nualpang, it is a collaboration of artists from Thailand and Vietnam.

"Mong" in Thailand performs in Bangkok and Chiang Mai for a total of 9 performances on July, 2006. In Vietnam, it will be held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City before the end of 2006. Both are supported by The Rockefeller Foundation under the Philippine Educational Theater Association's (PETA) Mekong Partnership Project's Mekong Creative Communities: Arts for Advocacy Fellowship 2006.

"Mong (Look)," the original version, is a product of the Mekong Performing Arts Laboratory 2005 held in Manila, Philippines in October of 2005.
